When most travelers think of a Madagascar vacation, they picture lemurs leaping through lush forests, the rugged beauty of Isalo National Park, or a week-long tour exploring the island’s breathtaking parks and coastline. At Dadamanga, we’re passionate not only about crafting memorable itineraries for our guests but also about CSR: giving back to the communities and natural environments that make Madagascar such a rare and precious destination.
In 2025, our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities focused on three pillars: protecting Madagascar’s natural beauty, supporting social and educational initiatives, and investing in employee welfare. Here’s how we’ve worked hand-in-hand with our team, local partners, and international networks to make a positive impact.
🌍 Protecting Madagascar’s Natural Beauty
Travelers often remark that Madagascar feels like nowhere else on Earth—and they’re right. With 90% of its wildlife found nowhere else, the island is both a wonder and a responsibility. This year, Dadamanga strengthened its environmental commitment through several initiatives:
- Lemur Conservation Network Membership – By contributing to this respected international network, we help safeguard endangered lemurs and the forests they call home, ensuring that future generations of travelers can encounter these extraordinary creatures in the wild.
- Libanona Public Garden Project – Together with our sister company Agrimanga (100% funded by Dadamanga), and in collaboration with local authorities in Fort Dauphin, we led a landscaping initiative that revitalized the Libanona Public Garden. This urban green space now provides shade, beauty, and a sense of pride for the community.
- Plant Production – Through Agrimanga, we’ve invested in the cultivation of native plants, fruit trees, shade trees, and ornamentals. This work supports biodiversity, provides livelihoods, and reduces reliance on imported species.
- “Flourish by Agrimanga” – Our retail brand makes gardening more accessible, selling compost, natural fertilizer, soil, and plants. We believe that by equipping households with the tools to green their own spaces, we can create a ripple effect of sustainability, and, the greening of our town and private gardens helps to balance the carbon footprint of long-haul travel.
- Support for Local Environmental Groups – From the Miray Anosy Association to Green Hope Madagascar’s youth delegation to the Indian Ocean Climate Conference, we’ve directed financial and logistical support toward grassroots environmental advocacy.
These projects not only preserve the landscapes our guests travel so far to see but also foster long-term resilience in Madagascar’s unique ecosystems.

🎓 Empowering Communities Through Education
A meaningful Madagascar tour isn’t just about wildlife—it’s also about connecting with the country’s rich culture and people. That’s why Dadamanga has committed to social and educational engagement as a cornerstone of our CSR work.
- Partnership with Nofy i Androy – This NGO is doing vital work in southern Madagascar, championing girls’ education and combating early marriage. For every sale we make, Dadamanga donates $10 from our commission earned directly to support their programs, paid twice yearly.
- Major 2025 Support – This year, we became an official sponsor of the Nofy i Androy Girls Summit in Ambovombe, backing a landmark event for female empowerment. We also contributed an extra special donation of 5,000,000 Ariary, underscoring our long-term commitment.
For us, helping young women access education is as important as showing travelers the forests of Andasibe or the canyons of Isalo. Both are investments in a brighter future for Madagascar.
👥 Taking Care of Our Team
Behind every carefully crafted Madagascar itinerary is our dedicated team of guides, drivers, planners, and support staff. Our guests often mention them by name in their reviews, praising their professionalism and warmth. Supporting their welfare is a top priority.

Every member of staff at Dadamanga is enrolled in CNaPS (social security), OSIET (employment health insurance), and the FMFP (Malagasy Vocational Training Fund), all of which require monthly contributions from our company. These programs ensure that our employees have access to reliable health coverage, retirement security, and legal protections, giving peace of mind to them and their families.
Through FMFP, we also invest in continuous professional growth. So far this year, our staff have benefited from three separate professional training sessions, delivered over the course of two full weeks during normal working hours. We are proud to give our employees paid time off work to participate in these sessions, reflecting our belief that investing in their knowledge and skills ultimately enriches the travel experiences we offer.
We also continued to invest in team spirit and wellbeing through participation in Public vs. Private football matches. These lively community events are more than just games — they’re a chance for our staff to bond outside of work, stay active, and strengthen ties with the broader Fort Dauphin community.
Happy, secure staff create unforgettable travel experiences, from smooth airport pickups to expertly guided adventures through Madagascar’s national parks.
Why CSR Matters to Travel in Madagascar
For travelers, these CSR commitments might seem like “behind the scenes” efforts. But in truth, they’re part of the same journey you embark on when you choose Dadamanga as your tour agency.
- When you visit a beautifully landscaped garden in Fort Dauphin, you’re seeing the impact of our community projects.
- When your driver guides you safely through Madagascar’s winding roads, you’re benefiting from our investment in staff welfare.
- When you encounter lemurs in a protected forest, you’re witnessing the results of global conservation partnerships.
- And when you purchase a tour, part of what we earn from your business directly supports girls’ education in southern Madagascar.
Travel is not just about exploration—it’s about connection, respect, and reciprocity.
